Colours, like features, follow the changes of the emotions. Pablo Picasso
Every renovation happens when a change is necessary.
Our client fully renovated his lovely apartment in the lively neighbourhood of La Latina seven years ago; but then after a period abroad he was moving back to Madrid and needed to match the tone of his apartment to his own current mood and new life.
The key was giving light and colourfulness to all the spaces, from kitchen to bedrooms. We proposed him to renovate the dark and grey-dull-palette of walls and floors for a glittering colour combination that goes from bright-deep yellow to the refreshing forest and mint green walls, all combined with a natural light oak wooden flooring.
We also opened a long upper window in a kitchen -which lack of direct daylight- to allow natural light coming from the very bright bathroom next to it. Colour and a very well curated furniture of the owner’s choice made the rest of the magic.
Do you think colour and material qualities could affect and change our mood?
